Why are you tempted to take a bite...or a LOT of bites of that piece of cheesecake?
from my experience:
Logically
- I know that ONE single piece of cheesecake is anywhere from 200-500 calories.
- if that slice of cheesecake contains 18g of fat, that means that 162 calories in the cheesecake are coming from fat. (yikes!)
- all of the beneficial nutrients in the cheesecake are minimal
- It would take a 145 lb person 20 minutes running at 6 mph to burn off that slice of cheesecake. (and that's if it's only 220 Calories!)
Logically I can conclude that eating this slice of cheesecake is not worth it.
So Why??? Why do we do it? Why do we find ourselves delving in to sometimes not just one slice of cheese cake but multiple slices?
First we need to ask ourselves, when we eat to much or are eating unhealthy food is it because we are hungry? are we eating because of anxiety? stress? boredom?
Why are we doing what we are doing? If you don't know start writing down what your eating and why, if you find that you are eating because of a reason that is not hunger, you are one step closer to making your life change.
